Two new DIY projects released - Liberation Frequency Fuzz and Ladder to the Moon

Here's an update and two new DIY projects. :)

It's been almost 3 years since I released something new or even posted something on my website. I've also been less active on my social media...

I have still been building pedals, but I have felt a bit stuck and uninspired when it comes to new pedal ideas. I also went thought a stomach surgery a couple of years back (because of Crohns disease) and it took almost a year to recover from, so I've had very little energy to do anything (which has been depressing). Most of my creativity has gone into making music for my band instead (links below if anyone is interested).

But in the last few months I've been feeling better and I have gotten back into DIY again. I bought a small CNC to be able to add faders, screens ect. to my pedals (I will post more about it later) and I have managed to design a few new cool circuits lately that I can't wait to share! Here are the first two of them. :)

Ladder to the Moon

A stripboard layout to the Liberation Frequency Fuzz will be added soon, and two more DIY projects (a ringmod and a bitcrusher) will be released in a month or two.

Follow me on Instagram or Facebook for more frequent updates.

Great news!

I have been playing around with an attiny85 for a bit crusher. I think it's working ok.

I am not sure if I am doing right the bit crusher part or if I am only downsampling the rate. I am using 8 bits, don't know if part of the fun is reducing that even further, don't know how to do that yet.

I got it to average samples toghether to reduce the sample rate, but not make it sample slower and add delay. I will try to program a way to choose between how many samples I want to average.

Looking forward to seeing your version!

Cheers, glad you are feeling better.

Hi Mariano!
Thank you for the nice comment. :)

Cool. The Attiny85 is so fun to play around with!
I started writing on a Attiny programming guide, but I got sidetracked. I might complete it some day.

I don't think that the bitrate is that important. The reduction of the sample rate is what gives it that "bitcrushed" sound. :)

Cheers, Fredrik
