1985 Guitar Synth

The 1985 Guitar Synth is an 8-bit sounding square wave fuzz with both octaves down, octaves up and detuned modes. This is the first 100% digital Parasit Studio DIY project based on the Attiny85 microcontroller.

The octave down section is taken from the Bitbreaker Deluxe (simplified to 3 settings insted of 5) and the octave up oscillator is based on a frequency counter that sounds super glitchy, like a malfunctioning R2-D2...

There's also a hidden feature! Hint: It will activate at power up (or by pressing the optional reset switch) if the octave switches are set in a certain position...

PROGRAMMING YOUR OWN ATTINY85 CHIPS
If you know how and have the required hardware & software, you can save a few bucks and program your own Attiny85 chips. If you are not sure how to do this, I recommend that you get the pre-programmed chips.

Note: Both chips needs to run at 8mhz (insted of the default 1mhz), so run the bootloader to set the clock speed.
